Love is

Today is a special day at B@titude. Not only is it valentines day but 6 years ago today the shop had it's grand opening. The local MP cut the ribbon, free tea & coffee was served and carnations were given out to the local community. Jenny says "We are entering our 7th year so thankful and excited about the future". We are also raising a glass as this morning we got the news that we have charitable status! Since it's valentines day we decided to ask the question "What is love?" We put up a big piece of paper and people have been pondering over this and writing their response. So far we've had words like Courage, Trust, Healing, Selflessness, Unconditional, Understanding and Sacrifice. People have also written - Doing anything for someone, working as a team and together forever. One of the mums wrote "Love is that feeling of no matter how hard you try , your heart leads you over your mind , Those precious little moments of nervousness and fear you get befor seeing someone who is important . Love is better than any chocolate or indulgence as its the ultimate indulgence. Its what makes you irrational and follow wreckless spontinuity but at the same time makes you feel free to be who you are and true to yourself . Love is vulnerability , causiousness but above all uncontrallable and precious" What is love to you? Today we also remember Sue Scott who behind the scenes was a huge encourager in the months before the shop opened and who wanted nothing more than to see hope restored to families.
